The client, a major O&G operator, is currently looking to recruit a Graduate Accountant on a staff basis in Aberdeen.
Purpose of Role:
• Works as part of the finance team providing input into the Month End Reporting process whilst ensuring compliance with Accounting Policies and Procedures
MAE/MATTE and
HSE Critical Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Client HSEQ procedures
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence Level:
• Develop system and analytical competency around SAP
• Support maintenance of Finance Performance Metrics and KPI Reporting
• Support Debit/Credit journal entries and transactional data entry to finance ledgers
• Provide support to the month end financial and management reporting and variance analysis
• Support the preparation of forecasts/budgets
• Support the creation of system master-data in line with local standards
• Perform periodic control reviews to provide assurance of control effectiveness and completeness
• Responsible for maintaining monthly Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations and resolving exceptions.
• Liaise with the business and wider finance department on process enhancements
• Internal and External audit support as required
• Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager

• Strong analytical skills
• Strong MS Office skills
• Clear written and verbal communication
