Role descriptionThe Wind Quality Inspector (QI) is responsible for supporting the Wind Quality Manager in Wind Projects (QMiP) in implementing the Wind Project Quality Plan on site and executing quality activities on site in line with the requirements of the product specification and SGRE IMS system. The Wind QI cooperates close with the QMiP of the Wind project and is being led on site by the Wind Site Manager. In case of non-project related issues or escalation the Wind QI reports to the team lead of the Wind QI team. The Wind QI is client's quality representative on site and represents and promotes the Zero Defect and Zero Harm culture. The Wind QI is responsible for managing, advising and educating the subcontractors with focus on the Wind Installation Subcontractor and their on site quality responsible. All related activities documented in checklists about inspections and contractor management have to be carried out and ensured.Wind Quality Inspector Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Wind Quality Inspections and verifications, partially with the installation subcontractor, customer representatives, service representativesThe Wind QI preparing and conducting the Quality Site Kick Off presentationThe Wind QI Witnessing and assessment of workmanship practices (when performed) to verify and ensure quality levelsQuality reporting incl. Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reportingActive reporting, management, and follow up of non-conformance workflows and recordsReceipt, verification and upload of as-built quality documentation to site sharepointMaintenance of turbine traceability within the pre-assembly, installation and commissioning phasesHandling component inspections and organizing all corresponding documentations (CMR/Transport documentation)Qualifications Required:Q-Standards (incl. Q-Plan, industry specific/ local Standards, Audits)Measurement & Evaluation (e.g. verification, validation, review, test)Product knowledge & inspection methodologies. Wind Quality Inspection experience in wind turbines: min. 1 year.Process and document managementIT skills: min. medium knowledge in Microsoft OfficeCollaboration and influencing: Moderation, communication, networking, negotiationsTechnical education with experience from the Wind industry.The ability to work within a process environment, process improvement and to promote a healthy and safe working environment.Experience in managing, advising and leading site teams as well as subcontractorsExperience in working abroad within a multicultural environment.Being aware of the content of work instructions related to the given technology, or in case not, gaining this knowledge as soon as possibleDriving license acceptable by authorities in the country of the delegationSelf-driven & self-motivated with leadership and manager-skills.Structured, persistent, trustworthy and reliable.Self-confident and a strong character.Willingness to work odd hours and show flexibility in rotation timing if on-site activities require.Willingness to travel and stay abroad on sites for extended time.Excellent written and spoken communication skills in order to explain quality processes to a wide range of people and to give presentations to groups.Language: fluent in written and verbal English including technical English for wind turbines.
