Senior Estimator / Australia

This company builds across Australia and has been in the building industry for over 30 years. They build townhouse lot projects across Sydney. The company have an experienced team of 6 Estimators who are also actively involved in the procurement. 

The are looking for an accomplished Senior Estimator who is looking for a new challenge to join their project team based in western Sydney. Reporting to the Estimating Manager.

The role: 

• Contribute to the preparation and finalisation of specifications and schedules prior to acceptance of project documentation.
• Prepare bill of quantities.
• Determine procurement methodology to project budget and program.
• Undertake procurement in accordance with company procedures.
• Prepare site file and handover to Construction Manager/Foreman.
• Manage the checking and processing of supplier and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure effective communication with all internal and external parties.
• Ensure all company and statutory policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Maintain current file of labour and materials cost information.

Experience needed: 

• Estimating experience from within a project home builder or commercial builder 
• Ability to work full time in the office Monday to Friday 
• Tertiary qualifications in construction or a trade background
