Role Summary/Purpose
The Welder will be required to carry out cladding on machined parts to a high degree of quality, and work on his own initiative to meet the production schedule of the plant. The role will require the ability to weld many different types of components related to Gas and Steam turbine repairs. This position may be required to flex between first and second shift as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Experience of using manual TIG/GTAW machines
Must be able to pass Weld Certification requirements
Desired Characteristics
• Familiarity with job-shop, manufacturing or field service environments
• Experience with crane rigging and complex lifts
• Experience of super alloys overlay of components for turbine industry would be an advantage.
• Experience of Stainless-steel overlay of components for the turbine industry would be an advantage.
• Basic computer skills
• Flexibility to support 24/7 outages and work different shifts as needed
• Enthusiasm
• Possess good communication skills
• Work overtime as needed
• Able to work independently and with others
Ability to operate and be certified to operate forklift.

Essential Responsibilities
- Read and understands engineering drawings & specifications.
- Overlay of components using Tig per weld procedures.
- Set up and weld components within the parameters of the specific weld procedure.
- Detailed grinding of components after weld repairs
- Adhere to Company Safety and Environmental policies
- Adhere to Company quality procedures.
- Grinding, blending and mechanical assembly required.
