Floating Wind Loads Engineer / London

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity as a Floating Wind Loads Engineer. One of the most valued cleints and also a world leader in the renewable energy sector are looking for someone who can:

• Perform numerical modelling, simulation and loads analysis of floating wind systems and support floating wind training and documentary review activities.
• Support loads analysis projects for other types of job, including those relating to onshore and offshore fixed wind.
• Manage projects, delivering on-time and on-budget to the customer’s satisfaction. This will include regular communication with the customer as well as internal stakeholders.
• Investigate novel modelling and analysis solutions in response to customer needs and industry trends.

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

• At least a Masters’ degree in hydrodynamics, offshore engineering, naval architecture, wave, tidal or offshore (fixed or floating) wind energy.
• An excellent understanding of linear wave theory and Morison hydrodynamics.
• A general understanding of mooring systems, control systems, aerodynamic loads, dynamics of wind turbines and floating structures, structural dynamics/analysis and general mechanical engineering concepts.
