The client, a large Oil & Gas Operator company, is currently seeking an Production Designer
based out of Calgary AB. This is a 6 month contract to start, with potential for extension, subject to start sometime August. The schedule is Mon – Friday, 8hrs daily, 40 hrs weekly. The client currently has a hybrid work schedule, with 3 days in the office and 2 days optional remote work from phone.

The opportunity: The client’s Communications team is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business. They are in search of a Production Designer to work with our Brand, Digital & Creative team and to support the needs of our broader organization. The team is responsible for:
- Finding ways to elevate our brand and engage with our audiences
- Telling compelling stories through research, content and design
- Sharing a consistent narrative across our communications footprint
- Providing strategic creative and digital communications support to partners
- Recommending appropriate tools and approaches to help teams work smarter, not harder
Are you up for the challenge? What you’ll do:
Under the direction of the Creative Lead, the successful candidate will:
- Work collaboratively with designers and content experts to develop creative assets for campaigns, including social, web and print
- Develop engaging presentations for high profile events
- Design and animate motion graphics that can stand alone or supplement existing content
- Support ongoing maintenance and improvements of our corporate brand portal, photo library and templates
- Create templates and automated tools to generate creative assets
- A strong portfolio that clearly demonstrates the necessary skills for the role
- A diploma in graphic design, multimedia or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Very strong organizational and client relationship skills
- Experience designing multimedia tactics to support integrated campaigns
- Experience adhering to and leading creative approach within established brand guidelines
- A high level of expertise in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, and Acrobat Pro
- Responsive web design experience
- A high degree of proficiency working independently, as well as part of a team
- Strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Very strong attention to detail and a proven track record of quality assurance
- Advanced user in Microsoft Office, including the ability to create and maintain templates and colour palettes in MS applications
- Social media experience
- Experience working in a corporate environment
