Contract: Senior Cost Controller - Consultant / Dyce

Aker Solutions' Subsea segment are currently looking for a Senior Cost Controller to strengthen the team. This is a hybrid role based either in Aberdeen or Winnersh.

Responsibilities:
Preparation and communication of monthly reporting and forecasting in close liaison with the Project Manager and Project Team
Perform monthly variance analysis on material, labour and miscellaneous costs as required
Report monthly Project Cash Flow, monitor foreign currency exposure and perform hedging analysis, communicate and take needed actions in case of deviations
On time and accurate invoicing to support good Working Capital management Identification, reporting and monitoring of financial threats and opportunities Support the Project Manager being alert to potential financial impacts from execution risks based on Project Teams inputs
Perform project contingency analysis
Feedback P&C team about potential cost missing or opportunities identified after the project award
Liaise with other cost controllers and projects to identify and advise potential common risks across the Subsea Projects
Support the Project and Business Manager on VOR preparation, advise and challenge the project team seeking for an overall healthy operating margin 
Attend and support client meetings when required
Contribute to the achievement of strict financial controls, ensuring adherence to IFRS and Aker Solutions accounting policy
Provide advice and guidance to the project team and other internal customers to ensure understanding of and compliance with established Subsea Cost Management and Finance standards/practices
Take ownership of and solve high complex enquiries related to Project Cost Management
Lead continuous improvement exercises seeking for digitalized and LEAN processes and activities
Communicate good practices with the Project Controlling team and establish standard guidelines & procedures if needed
Guidance and coaching of other junior members of the team
Other duties requiring a similar level of skill and responsibility when required

Skills:
Hands-on self-starter with motivation and enthusiasm to deliver results
Good understanding of basic accounting
Background in EPC project cost control, Lump sum and reimbursable scopes
Background in Subsea Project cost control preferable
Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Knowledge of SAP desirable
Good analytical skills & highly numerate with good commercial understanding and attention to detail
