Qualifications:
- Five years ergonomics support
- Degree in a related field or ergonomics certification(s)
- (CAE, CBES, CEAS)
- Medical background a plus
- Basic computing skills (familiarity with Dragon Naturally Speaking and/or Windows Speech Recognition) a plus
- Advanced presentation and speaking skills;
- comfortable presenting ergonomic concepts and principles to large groups
- ability to work with multiple levels of the organization
Job Description:
- Conduct office/laboratory ergonomic evaluations for workers indicating non-neutral work habits, postures and/or discomfort
- Identify non-neutral work habits and postures
- Determine mitigation strategies for reducing or eliminating exposure
- Assist workers with implementing these strategies
- Assist workers with selecting equipment and/or furniture to fit their needs and promote more neutral postures and behaviors
- Develops ergonomic safety communications and training content
- Have superior interpersonal skills and be able to influence workers resistant to change in such a way that they are open to adopting your recommendations
- Follow-up with workers on mitigation strategies to ensure gap closure
- Willingness and ability to offer live support to locations in the Houston area and remotely support globally
- Able to work with many different cultures, backgrounds and abilities
- Able to conduct evaluations both in person and via Zoom/photos
- Ability to identify and analyze ergonomics performance trends
