Would you like to originate future renewable energy projects and work on behalf of an international company?
We are looking for a Wind Origination Manager on their behalf, to be based in Barcelona, Spain.
In this role you will work with existing and future activities within wind projects in Spain. You will be part of the Spanish project team, which is responsible for identifying, engaging, and negotiating with landowners/development partners to obtain land rights to develop utility-scale wind energy projects. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze sites for wind farms and develop new wind projects in Spain.
The projects are both greenfield but also potential hybrid projects in cases where they have already secured a grid connection. Your day-to-day tasks include performing feasibility studies related to wind farms under development, conducting site visits, having the daily dialogue with different stakeholders, and taking the lead on the permitting process for new wind projects in their pipeline. The position is based in Barcelona with frequent travels inside Spain and occasionally to their HQ.
Areas of responsibility
· Identify potential areas to develop wind farms
· Design of the preliminary study and development phase for the wind farms
· Design of implementation plans
· Energy simulations
· Electrical design of the plant
· Perform feasibility studies in plots of land to develop wind farms
· Lead the permitting process to develop wind farms
· Negotiate with landowners and local authorities
Professional skills we expect from you
· Engineering Background
· Experience in the development of wind energy permits in Spain is an advantage
· Experience preparing wind studies
· Design of wind farms using specific software
· Design of electrical installations
· Knowledge of GIS tools
· Experience working with Autocad and Wind Pro is an advantage
· You master Spanish and English
