Contract: Business Analyst - Intermedidate / Calgary

The client, a large Oil & Gas midstream company, is currently seeking a Business Analyst - Construction & Commissioning Position to come work out of Calgary AB. Candidates from Spruce Grove or North Bay ON are welcome to apply. This is a long-term contract, with potential for extension for 1 year. The schedule is Mon – Friday, 8 hrs, and 40 hrs weekly. The client currently operates on hybrid office remote work scheduler, where three days are spent in the office and 2 days are remote optional.

DESCRIPTION:

• Maintains and monitors departmental budgets, capital purchases and project spends.
• Conducts own analysis to help the business function more effectively through analytics. Builds and maintains relationships with the project business stakeholders and team members.
• Tracks requirements and deliverables to ensure that business requirements are being met. Identifies business requirements that may change due to development or technical decisions or as a result of scope changes or technical changes from vendor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree; Possession of a professional designation (e.g. CPA, CIA, CGA, CMA);
• Working knowledge of SAP/BPC considered an asset
• Experience with data analytics and financial analysis. Experience in Microsoft Office applications, Excel and Power BI.
