The valued client, a large Oil & Gas company are seeking a Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE Coordinator – Expert Trainer) to join their Kearl Lake team on long term contract basis.

MAIN FUNCTIONS:
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Travel: This is a Fly In/Fly out role with both flights and camp provided (Flight hubs being Calgary or Edmonton). The rotation for this shift is 14 days on and 14 days off (12 Hour days).
Job Description:
- Support Business Line Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) stewardship processes and portfolio analysis.
- Develop and monitor performance metrics to evaluate business performance.
- Support the SSHE Supervisor in managing the SSHE program, as directed by the SSHE Supervisor.
- Coordinate a variety of activities and be the point of contact for the Regional SSHE Advisors
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and executes comprehensive training efforts based on Human Performance (Safety in the Workplace).
- Responsible for developing a training plan, the curriculum and logistics, and the courses and supporting materials. Conducts course presentations and develops and delivers e-Learning courses.
- Provides train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts. Develops and/or update training plans. May have specialized training focus. Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position.
- This position level might be known as Expert Trainer who has extensive experience in the field and is supervising and mentoring lower-level Trainers.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong classroom (Instructor Lead) experience. Strong communication skills. Proficient in MS Office.
- Professional Educator with bachelor’s degree - minimum of 5-10 years’ experience
- Will need to be able to build a curriculum, teach the curriculum to others as well as guide the others to be able to then teach to others.
- Industrial experience is a plus
- Human Behavior background is a plus
- Advanced use of PowerPoint and Excel needed
- Strong communication skills.
