Power Ops Consultant – Competency Development will be responsible for the following tasks: Lead the development of operating procedures for each phase of the Core Substation cutover and 110KV network integration (phases 1 – 8) for both the high voltage side and the Power Management and Control Systems including switching programs and switch cards for Core Substation and existing brownfield substations that form the 110KV network backbone. Lead the development of the training materials for the operating procedures mentioned above. Provide technical advice to the Ops Support Group as needed. Same as above but for other substation cutover activities such as the 110KV, 35KV, 10KV, 6KV, 0.6KV, 0.4KV, etc. This position is reporting to Power Systems Ops Superintendent. Will work closely with FGP Power Distribution Consultant, C&P Electrical Tie-In Team, C&P System Completions, BB Power Ops and other BB departments on Core Substation cutover and 110KV network integration. Must know Power Management and Control Systems (PMCS) which consists of FLS, SRC, and ECS (Electrical Control System). Must be familiar with power system dynamics modeling and simulation and being able to analyze them for training and decision support. Participate in Safety Audits and presentations at the Group Safety Meetings. Assist with selection of safety topics and finding materials for safety presentations
Job Specification and requirements:
• Higher Technical Education.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Power Distribution.
• Analytical mindset
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to develop the documents according to tasks
• Methods to draft technical tasks while developing training materials and other documents to develop competency in compliance with customer requirements;
• Training material standardization processes;
• Training quality assessment processes;
• Operating procedures standardization process; Base Operations process equipment purpose/use;
• English Language basic level or higher
• Excellent communication and team-work skills.
• Planning and prioritizing skills, skills to deliver presentations and conduct meetings.
• Adaptability, flexibility
• Quick learner
• Good PC user skills and advanced knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook
