The role will be working within a team in based in the Perth CBD for a 4 month contract initially with possible extension.
Position Title: Human Resources Officer
Team / Division: Human Resources / Corporate and Financial Assurance
Location: Perth
Pay rate: The client is looking to pay the successful candidates approx $380.00 - $420.00 per day inclusive of superannnuation NEG.
Position Condition: Fulltime / Non-ongoing
Reports to: Assistant Manager Human Resources
Manager reports to: Manager Human Resources
Key responsibilities
- Provide recruitment services including advertisement of positions, coordination of selection processes and production of contractual documentation. Act as first point of contact for enquiries through the recruitment/careers website. Coordinate temporary assignment of labour hire engagements.
- Provide general HR and OHS advice, including assistance with the review, update and implementation of our client's Human Resources policies and procedures and establishment activities such as creation and classification / reclassification of positions.
- Assist with project work to support the development and delivery of organisational development initiatives including development and delivery of the corporate induction and other learning and development activities and coordination of the implementation of Australian Public Service Commission directives and initiatives.
- Act as Systems Administrator for information systems, including TechnologyOne, Acendre and ELMO. Assist with delivery of human resource management information system services including monitoring and compliance reports.
- Undertake other duties as directed by the Human Resources Manager to assist HR team with provision of general Human resources service.
- Comply with our client's business policies and processes including: financial, communication, information, records management and human resource practices; the Australian Public Service Values and Code of Conduct; and requests and directions from the Chief Executive Officer.
Essential Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in providing human resource management services, including recruitment, establishment and learning and development services.
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary human resource management and occupational health and safety issues and trends with experience in assisting with the identification, development and implementation of projects and initiatives.
- Well-developed organisational and administrative skills including strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise and control own workload, ability to suggest improvements to work processes and tasks to improve efficiencies and HR services.
- Well-developed analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including ability to work constructively with a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge and capacity to apply and promote ethical work practices, the APS Values, Code of Conduct and occupational health and safety in all aspects of work.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in the offshore petroleum industry is desirable.
Medical
You will be required to pass a pre-employment medical and maintain medical fitness.
Security
You must pass and maintain a security clearance to a level appropriate for the position.
