Contract: Mechanical Engineer / Stockton-on-Tees

Due to new work awards, our client a multi-disciplined EPC Design contractor are looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team working from their offices in Stockton-On-Tees.

The role will be a contract based position for an initial 9 – 12 months worth of work. It will be working a standard 37.5 hour week Monday – Friday and will require someone to be in the office full time.

A strong rate of pay is on offer for this role and is outside of IR35.

About role:

• Experience with Heat Exchangers is essential for this role.
• Prepare and/or check design calculations
• Supervise production of and check drawings for compliance with calculations
• Prepare Technical Specifications/Reports
• Co-ordinate/liaise with Engineering disciplines
• Interpret Vendor drawings/information
• Work to budgets and programmes
• Comply with Quality Management Systems
• Report to Lead Mechanical Engineer
• Other professional duties reasonably required

 

Experience / Qualifications required:

 

• University degree preferred or qualification equivalent to UK Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
• Additional equivalent Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status preferred
• Background in Heavy Engineering/Chemical/Petrochemical Industries preferred
