We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to join their team on a permanent basis to provide specialist advice and assurance on their ongoing Oil & Gas projects in Queensland.

Job Requirements & Specifics:

The Senior Environmental Scientist will primarily focus on preparing and submitting all environmental permits & approvals as well as ensuring Environmental Authority compliance primarily across CSG water management and rehabilitation.

Undertake environmental monitoring inspections, maintain environmental disturbance, rehabilitation, and financial assurance registers.

Provide oversight to the environmental monitoring programme including Noise, Gas, Soil and water samplings and vegetation assessments.

Supporting delivery and monitoring framework for adaptive land management measures

About You:

A Degree(s) or equivalent in a relevant science or environmental science discipline, or environmental management, or environmental engineering.
General knowledge of Queensland environment legislation and standards. Working knowledge in the application of HSE legislation, tools and techniques.

Proven operational and project experience and knowledge of industry safety and environment risks.

At least 5 years of professional experience in a frontline implementation role.
Be willing to travel regularly to the field in central Queensland.
