The Client is currently looking for a Subsurface Team Lead, on a permanent basis. Located in Aberdeen, UK.

Purpose of Role:
• Maximize the value of assets by delivering business plan targets through, project delivery, resource maturation and reserves growth.

MAE/MATTE and HSE Critical Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Client HSEQ procedures
• Maximize value of Catcher asset through identification, maturation, planning and implementation of opportunities.

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence Level:
• Supervise multi-discipline subsurface team and support direct reports to ensure delivery of high quality subsurface
• Create and move new drilling opportunities through the VOSG process
• Develop and communicate clear strategy and direction for the Operated Asset subsurface team
• Identify and mature opportunities to improve value. Maintain a portfolio ranking of all hub led opportunities
• Ensure accurate reserves, long range production forecasting and LRP inputs
• Ensure conformance to all required internal and external standards
• Maintain and enhance functional integration to add value and to ensure development of the team
• Provide support and mentoring to more junior members of the subsurface team
• Work closely with CoVs to ensure alignment and support of Client goals
• Maintain and enhance Client reputation to external stakeholders including OGA / CoVs
• Contribute to hub reservoir management and surveillance plans
• Liaise with Exploration to understand non-hub led activities and contribute experience where necessary
• Integrate with Production Performance group so that well intervention activities achieve maximum value
• Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager

Critical Skills Qualifications Experience, etc.:
• A degree in Sciences, Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
• Strong GGRE technical background
• Good understanding of business principles.
• Familiarity with the relevant Client workflows
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Demonstratable stakeholder management skills both internally and externally – ability to learn from and influence others
• Strong personal leadership and drive towards teamwork
• Displays integrity through open communication and looks for opportunities to communicate to build and maintain relationships
• Considers a range of perspectives, responding respectfully to each
