Head of Section “Nordics” in Department Project Engineering & Project Development within Service Area Renewables in Region Northern Europe

Local Unit & Position DescriptionThe position is based in the Project Engineering & Project Development department which is part of the Service Area Renewables.

The Service Area Renewables drives our strategic ambitions to be a Project-, Performance- and Risk Minimization- focused team providing Advisory Services to the full life cycle (including feasibility and energy production assessments, technical due diligence, owners engineering, measurements and operational services) of projects across wind, solar and battery storage to support the energy transition.

The Project Engineering & Project Development department in Northern Europe consists of three Sections spread across different countries. We focus on technical advisory services for onshore and offshore wind projects and on technical and analytical services for the development and optimization of renewable energy projects.

We are looking for a Head of Section who will lead our team in the Nordics and grow this team to successfully meet current and future market demands. The Head of Section reports directly to the Head of Department.

If you are the person we are looking for, you will become part of a section having an experienced team of 12 highly competent and dedicated employees. The starting date should be as soon as possible.

Primary responsibilities:
  • Ensures an efficient & consistent delivery of services in line with customer expectations.
  • Optimizes business performance through delivery management, cost-efficient business operations, improvement of the utilization rate and an aligned workforce plan.
  • Empowers employees and encourages employability and individual growth.
  • Creates a flexible workforce and automates workflows to deal with variable workload.
  • Builds and strengthens a strong internal culture based on company’s values.
  • Supports the Head of Department in strategy and decision making.
  • Stimulates a high performing culture, sets direction, is output driven and act as a role model for an inspiring employee experience.
  • Ensures that employees have the required technical competences and owns the pipeline for technical talent.
  • Promotes team capabilities internally and externally.
  • Actively collaborates with Service Area Leaders and corresponding role(s) in other business lines to evolve the service portfolio and capture customer opportunities.
  • Owns talent pipeline and development of technical talent/future needed capabilities.
  • You are also encouraged to contribute up to 30% of your time to projects and service delivery.
Position Qualifications
  • Educated to at least degree level bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Experienced in managing and supervising operational and/or project teams.
  • Experience from the renewables industry
