Contract: Roughneck / Wheeling

 A major oil and gas operator is looking for Roughnecks to perform various manual labor tasks associated with the safe and efficient operation of a rig site under the direct supervision of the Driller. This is a one year contract opportunity with the potential for permanent hire or extension of contract.

• 14/14 schedule
• 84 hr weeks
• Housing is covered plus overtime and perdiem
• Work is based out of PA, OH, and WV

Key Responsiblities:

• Performs rig up and rig down activities as assigned.
• Performs "nippling up” or “nippling-down" of all rig equipment.
• Performs general repairs and maintenance on major and minor rig components.
• Conducts assigned activities on the rig floor.
• Assists the (Assistant Driller) Derrickman with mud-mixing duties.
• Performs emergency procedures.
• Ensures that work carried out is in compliance with company policies and procedures and according to safety regulations.
• Work is normally performed out-of-doors, where exposure to atmospheric conditions of extreme heat or cold, fumes, and gases are frequent. Exposure to noise, vibration, high pressure, moving/mechanical parts, electrical shock, chemical and caustic materials is common in the normal performance of the duties associated with this position.
• The work of this position requires frequent contact with drilling personnel to give and exchange information.
• The work of this position requires manual dexterity to operate drilling tools.
• The work of this position involves the frequent movement of up to 100 lbs. to lift, push, pull or carry equipment.
• Reaching, climbing and balancing is required to climb flights of stairs, vertical ladders up to 140 feet high and reach and handle equipment.
• Vision and depth perception skills are required to supervise and monitor equipment and conditions on rig.
