Head of Telecom Engineering

·        Bachelor Degree in Telecom Engineering or equivalent
·        10 years’ experience working in telecoms,  in large Oil & Gas Facilities having  broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore facilities design, construction and operations.
-        Requires demonstrable design experience and hands on expertise with telecoms equipment and systems experience (OTN, UHF TETRA VHF radio Systems, IP Networks), security (Access Control, CCTV surveillance networks,  Fence Intrusionr Detection systems, Automatic Number Plate Recognition), Public Address / General Alarm (PAGA), and networks (, LAN, Industrial Wireless Networks,   , Routers, Switches, Servers etc), Ship to Shore (SSL) Communication Systems, Hazardous area requirements (EExd, EEi, EExe). Shall be proficient in fibre optic cabling network design (both ISP and OSP), copper cable networks and relevant infrastructure such as duct banks, cable / ladder tray designs. This shall include transition of design engineering to construction deliverables.
·        Able to manage multiple, short timeframe, complex projects.
·        Previous experience with Brownfield engineering and execution is desired
 

• Responsible for overseeing and delivering all Telecom Engineering activities for the NFS Onshore Project, ensuring that all technical requirements such as national laws, project specifications, , schematics, etc. are in full compliance with project requirements, standardised processes, and are delivered to the highest technical quality standards.
• Develop the NFS FEED Telecom philosophy and review the detailed deliverables from CTRs.
• During the ITT phase, provide technical information/clarifications requested by the bidders and review of bidders proposal for all matters related to Telecom.
• During the EPC phase, provide clear guidance to the EPC contractor, sub-contractors and vendors and facilitate resolution of telecom technical issues to complete telecom engineering activities such as design, procurement and integration to meet project objectives and milestones.
• Steward various phases of telecom engineering during installation, pre-commissioning Site acceptance test and commissioning
• During start-up and early operations phases, until the performance tests completion, provide ad hoc field engineering assistance.
