•    Length of service in similar position no less than 5 years.

Must know:
•    Legislative acts and other regulatory acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan applicable within this position and assigned functional duties (i.e. Laws, regulations, provisions, guidelines, standards, and specifications).
•    Technological process philosophy technical specifications, peculiarities, intent, and operation principle of fire and gas ,Instrumentation equipment. 
•    Development of detailed plans to complete tasks. 
•    Must know system design international requirements including but not limited to EN 54-16, EN 60849, SOLAS, and NORSOK.
•    Collect, generalize, and arrange information in prioritized order, develop alternative solutions within job capacity  
•    Network concepts, i.e. DMZ, PCN and Corporate Business Network • MS Visio  
•    Fiber Optic principles and configurations 
•    Basic and working knowledge on amplifiers, controllers 
•    MS Windows Command Prompt standard commands, TCP/IP and Network knowledge, Knowledge in the Oil and Gas industry fire and gas, instrumentation, and automation concepts 
•    Microsoft Server 2008/2012/2016 (working with virtual environment and managing the server), Microsoft Windows XP/7/10, System Event Log Monitoring  
•    Working with virtual environment and managing the server 
•    Development of detailed plans to complete tasks. 
•    Collect, generalize, and arrange information in prioritized order, develop alternative solutions within job capacity  
•    working experience supporting MS Windows WorkstationServer OS is required 
•    Deep basic knowledge on fire and gas systems, instruments used in O&G industries and telecom communication concepts
•    Working experience on SAP or any CMMS software is a must
•    Presentation and facilitating skills 
•    Create and maintain documentation of work processes as required.
•    Follow standard work processes .Proactively identify and take actions to implement opportunities for improvement. 
•    Diagnose and resolve operational problems. 
•    Daily monitoring of systems and troubleshooting issues originating from automated alerts, customer requests.
•     Develop and maintain system documentation and inventories.
•    Follow change management processes 
•    Exposure on the public address and General Alarm System
•    Understands and aligns work processes with the tenets of operational excellence 
•    Carries out the work in a safe and environmental sound manner. 
•    Ensures JHA’s and PTW are completed as required and are done with quality. Actively participates in all safety programs BBS, RSIP, SWA, etc. 
•    Participate when required on Design Reviews / Comments for control/safety systems 
•    Supporting of implementation of new projects and modifications on existing ones 
•    Develops / modifies display graphics and system logic configurations as required. Performs system back-ups for DCS and ESD systems. Review the operation of the equipment and performing necessary maintenance.  Performs regular checks of the communication stream to/from DCS. 
•    Working experience on network equipment, HMI workstation and control units 
•    Exposure to data network or direct interconnection via ¬ fiber / copper, or the use of a star, ring, or hybrid network topology
•    Working experience on Power supplies, Audio processors, Exchange control boards, Intercom stations, Amplifiers, Speakers , Network connections etc.
•    Exposure to patch management, backup, antivirus definition updates, firewalls, authentication service, and log management.   
•    Knowledge on interfacing techniques between different systems viz fire alarm systems emergency shutdown systems (ESD), fire & gas alarm systems, manual call points, universal analog / digital inputs, and outputs
•    Expertise on integrated software interfaces by using config manager to establish communication to Modbus TCP, enabling the transfer of status information to external Modbus based systems, VoIP (SIP interface) allowing for the interconnection of IP telephone systems for direct voice communication and function activation between a PABX and the INTRON-D plus
•    Exposure to Intercom, Half- and full-duplex capable, Point-to-point connections, multi-party and page party, emergency priority call override  Call request and selective call control and conferencing
•    Know-how on Public Address (PA) including Group calls, all calls / system wide page, selectable group calls, automatically activated group calls and all calls based on preprogrammed scenarios, direct group, and all calls from existing PABX via telephone interface.
•    Expertise on public Address & General Alarm (PA/GA) which includes emergency warning, individual and complex scenarios (e.g. alarm triggering resulting from SIP and MODBUS interface inputs), manually and automatically activated warning scenarios, integration of external systems (e.g. ¬ fire & gas, emergency shutdown etc.)
•    Knowledge about network firewall into DMZ   
•    Working knowledge on Network and server cabinets 
•    Working knowledge on configuration and management of control units, electrical amplifier, I/O interface, and access panels 
•    Familiar with Access panels, Analog stations, Digital stations, IO stations, DXC control stations, Radio base stations and virtual stations
•    Maintain field instrumentations (speakers and beacons) associated with Paging and Gas Alarm System 
•    Perform scheduled compliance checks and retains evidence
•    Reviews the outcomes of Reliability Centered Maintenance study. 
•    Provides Subject Matter Expert input to RCM study if required. 
•    Reviews the RoK oil & gas industry regulatory requirements and TCO specifications for Instrumentation equipment operation and maintenance. Implements them in his/ her work. 
•    Reviews technical documentation and operations manuals. Uses them when developing Preventive Maintenance (PM) Plans.  
•    Participate in the development and review of instrumentation maintenance procedures. 
•    Agrees and aligns PM plan with other discipline SMEs. 
•    Defines a list of equipment which requires development of Standard Repair Procedures (SRP). Checks quality and comments on SRPs developed by Competency Development Group (CDG). 
•    Participates in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and Start-up of facilities. 
•    Reviews instrumentation testing completed to ensure all required tests / inspections were completed properly before acceptance  
•    Participates in the investigation and identification of the root causes of instruments failure, in the development of recommendations for the elimination and prevention of such failures. 
•    Provide guidance and leadership in technical matters and to ensure that his group are aware of and are working to current engineering standards and procedures. 
•    Provide technical support to trainees in respect of fire and gas system, measuring instruments. 
•    Monitors the technical condition and safe operation of I&C equipment, fire extinguishing unit and fire alarm systems and takes measures to eliminate malfunctions. 
•    Processes and analyzes statistical data on the operation of I&C equipment, identifies deficiencies and develops measures to eliminate them.  
•    Continuously cooperates with the automation support team to ensure safe operation of facilities, jointly provides support during commissioning and operation of new facilities and equipment, and identifies, eliminates issues in the operation of software and hardware controllers.
