Lab Hydraulic Tester – 12 month contract – Based Bristol
The client, a global oilfield services business, is currently looking to hire a suitably experienced Lab Hydraulic Tester for an initial 12 month contract based at their facility in Bristol.
This position will be offered on a PAYE contract for an initial duration of 12 months with the likelihood for extension or potential to transition to permanent employment with client.
Description:
Lab Hydraulic Tester R&Rs
- Hands on testing for hydromechanical components, electrically powered.
- Work with and in accordance with:
- HSE compliance / controls
- Permit to work system
- COSHH assessments
- Lab management of change
- Inventory, stocking and maintenance cycles
- Lab testing status reporting
- Accurate record keeping in line with BH requirements
- Has experience with fault finding mechanical valves or electrical faults in test rig circuits.
- Facilitate procurement activities, where required, ensuring on time delivery
Desirable:
- Proven history for design, build and commissioning of qualification hydraulic and electrical test setups
- Demonstrate a working mind set to manage multiple priorities and tests at the same time, whilst reporting to people leader vs on time delivery targets
- Ability to adapt and fault find problems to bring about a solution to a test, qualification challenge, or material demand
Experience:
Previous experience of working as a hands-on tester in a Laboratory; designing, building and commissioning test systems in a R&D environment
Proven history of working within safety systems, i.e. Risk assessments, MoC, COSHH, Permit to work, Lock Out Tag Out
Ability to work in a team, fault find, and solution driven
Proactive individual that is a self-starter, that can develop short form plans and communicate intent, material demand, and test data per qualification / testing requirements.
Proven history of writing structured laboratory operating procedures, test procedures and reports
Able to use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
