Field Lab Supervisor/Coach / Iraq

We are looking for a Field Lab Supervisor to work on a 28/28 rotation in Kurdistan. He/she will organize and direct the daily activities of each of the Laboratories under his / her control. He / she will be responsible for supervising laboratory personnel, conducting quality assurance and quality control checks, and collecting and analysing / interpreting lab analysis results, highlighting any abnormalities in a timely manner.

The Lab Supervisor / Coach will ensure the set analysis standards are followed and conduct training and competency assessments on his / her subordinates. He / she will also ensure the maintenance / calibration / certification standards are followed on the equipment in each site Lab. Monitor and optimise production chemical usage. Evaluate effectiveness and compatibility of existing and future production chemicals.

Scope

- Responsible for conducting laboratory analysis including hands on working in the field.
- Coach and develop existing Laboratory Technicians. (Previous experience coaching and mentoring technicians will be mandatory)
- Develop testing and analysis laboratory best practice procedures.
- Complete all laboratory reports with accurate field information.
- Advise on possible improvements on chemical injection rates.
- Understand and keep current with all laboratory analysis methods.
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Must be able to work with all chemical, petrochemical and petroleum products and have an understanding of the risk analysis towards equipment and chemicals

Requirements:

- Excellent computer skills, i.e. MS Excel, MS Office, Outlook.
- Communicate fluently both verbally and in writing in the English languages.
- Relevant University degree.
- 10 years Chemical/Oil industry Lab experience and extensive Supervisory experience.
- Sour production fluids experience is essential.
