General Manager - Residential Home Builder / Australia

This residential home building company is looking for a General Manager to run 20 internal staff on up to 120 new homes a year. The company is an established and award-winning Builder of over ten years in the Canberra market. They have Databuild and Companion systems set up, along with all other internal platforms for the business to run. 

Responsibilities

• Monitoring training and performance progress of team members and leadership teams 
• Manage pipeline forecasting, reporting and strategic plan 
• Review land releases and oversee stock for house/land packages, and attend sales meetings to acquire new land
• Be aware of legislative changes and ensure company teams are updated 
• Update company structure and staffing requirements, and make sure all teams meet KPIs
• Maintain supplier relationships 
• Maintain WHS system and ensure procedures are being followed 
• Develop, foster and network with industry stakeholders to create new business opportunities
• Manage project margins and oversee efficiency 
• Review of client feedback forms and implement improvements

Experience required: 

• 5 years in the construction industry in an upper management role 
• Experience and background from within the volume housing industry in NSW
• Qualification or trade background in construction
