The client is an up-and-coming cybersecurity software organisation and they are looking for a backend engineer to be a part of their team to build their enterprise cloud security platform.

Responsibilities:

Partake in the full software development life cycle using Agile Scrum methodology and consistently deliver new features.
Design and implement event-driven services in AWS using Serverless technologies (Eg. AWS Lambda, ECS,RDS, DynamoDB, Neptune)
Development on their data ingestion and processing pipelines that handle massive data processing workload
Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize the performance of their backend data processing services
Optimize our application framework that runs security rules written by our cybersecurity specialists
Have ownership of the internal API and Data Query Engine that provides data access across internal teams.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
At least 4 years experience in software engineering with proven track record of building in the cloud
Experience in designing and building applications in AWS and building serverless with CDK and Serverless-Stack
Proficiency in Python for backend development with a good grasp of event-driven architecture
Experience building GraphQL API
Good computer science fundamentals: data structures, distributed systems, networking and graph algorithms
Ability to perform in an Agile environment that practices 100% CI/CD
