Job Title: Commercial Excellence Analyst

Job Summary
A Commercial Excellence Analyst will be tasked with optimizing forecast accuracy and sales efficacy through active participation in the IBP Demand cycle and management of the pricing strategy. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance of the 24-month rolling forecast.  Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts within the CRM tool.
• Develop detailed demand forecasts (order bookings) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function to drive operational plans.
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
• Provide input to the Supply Chain organization for development of inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and end of life products.
• Support the Commercial Leadership Team in analytics for IBP Process, including preparing relevant reports and presentation materials
• Perform strategic pricing analysis and market research to optimize our competitive position. Work with Commercial Team to review Price List for Capital Equipment, Fixed Price Agreements, and yearly pricing adjustments.  Update in all Systems.
• Oversee data integrity of product family pricing in ERP system and coordinate with all Product Groups across HMH to align pricing across like products.
• Be the point of contact with Manufacturing, Sales, and Engineering to maintain pricing in ERP system and identify parts exempt from automatic price adjustments.
• Perform monthly margin reviews and work with Cost Controller to identify cost outliers and any required margin adjustments, action accordingly.
• Develop intercompany pricing process and work across regions to maintain consistent pricing globally
• Support customer setup within ERP system and maintain customer discount profiles per contractual agreements.
• Focus on best practices between all HMH business units to integrate commercial strategies
• Develop eCommerce marketing solutions

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in commercial analysis)
• Have a sound understanding of the sales and commercial processes
• Commercial experience including forecasting sales and developing successful pricing strategies
• Be able to plan, set-up and analyze appropriate metrics to measure the impact of pricing strategies and commercial activities
• Have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams at different levels of a matrix organization.
• Team player, active learner with positive attitude and the ability to enable a healthy environment inside the team.
• Be skilled in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel - including analyzing data with, for example, pivot tables and developing digital dashboards
