We are looking for Local candidates to work as NOC Manager for a technology company in Erbil.



Job Summary:

NOC Manager Team is the eye on the network, that are managing the network 24/7, including all the system entities starting from the Fiber Optic Network, DWDM Optics, IP/MPLS Backbone & LTE network. Managing 3rd party communications of external entities like Vendors, International suppliers and outsource contractors.



Responsibilities:
  • Manage the overall desk activities, including the supervisors, ensure adequate coverage for the 24/7/365 environment so that the network infrastructure is always running effectively which includes continuous monitoring of all services, and ensuring that every reasonable effort is made to restore service as quickly as possible in the event of an outage.
  • Meet very aggressive network availability, and ticket handling objectives while providing hands-on leadership during network events.
  • Act as a further escalation point for the supervisor(s).
  • Report to senior managers on any issue that could significantly impact the business.
  • Plan projects, training, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and milestones for the NOC.
  • To meet/exceed and maintain service levels as assigned by management.
  • To meet/exceed expected reliability standards.
  • Willing to take ownership and take on other duties as assigned.
  • NOC staff motivation, coach, and mentor senior and junior staff to ensure personnel is working on issues as efficiently and accurately as possible in a team-oriented professional culture.
  • Develop and report on metrics for the performance of the NOC and individual NOC employees, including but not limited to MTTR, ETR, number of escalations, and tickets.
  • Drive technical staff to monitor and resolve customer issues and accomplish objectives by being a role model to impress upon staff to be self-motivated with the ambition to problem-solve, learn and create their own mechanisms for resolving issues, and most importantly, communicate effectively with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Arranging staff training and awareness sessions.
  • Develop associated system requirements and drive their implementation and use.




Requirements:
  • BSc in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field.
  • Deep understanding of static and dynamic routing protocols, and experience in the IP/ MPLS networks and BGP routing with International T1 Providers.
  • Experience in troubleshooting Optical products with specific focus on OTN, SONET, SDH, TDM, DWDM and EoSDH protocols and standards.
  • Experience in 4G Core / EPC entities as technology with specific focus on MME, BBU eNodeB, IN billing System, RAN , RF and Access alarms.
  • Experience in managing multiple NMS systems that are used for monitoring and developing operations procedures.
  • One to two years of experience in telecommunication and ISP industry.
