The valued client is seeking a Contract Plant Operator, WRU near Fort McMurray, AB. This is a camp-based role, working an 7/7 shift – rotating days and nights.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the safe operation of all plant activities for water reuse.
Communication with appropriate parties on all aspects of duties.
Effectively utilize trends to optimize plant/process performance by maximizing efficiency and minimizing operating costs.
Participate in the investigation of operational upsets.
Assist the Shift Engineer/Lead with various projects as assigned.
Provide interface between operations and trades groups.

Qualifications:

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must possess a 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate
This role is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to the relevant requirements of the Company Drug and Alcohol policy which includes pre-assignment testing
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office suite
Possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
