We have an exciting opportunity with Our Multinational Pharmaceutical Client located in Liverpool, UK. We are sourcing a Technical Specialist for a 12-month contract role.
Job Summary:
This is a technical role within the Manufacturing Sciences & Technology (MS&T) Team at the Liverpool Influenza Vaccine manufacturing facility, supporting Bulk and Fill-Finish Operations. The MS&T function provides strategic technical direction to the manufacturing organization to achieve supply targets and maximize capacity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- To own product and process impacting supplier notifications via the change management process.
- Provide technical oversight to compliantly onboard change notifications in a timely manner.
- Provide support to the material response team and act as point of contact for implementation of material modifications.
- Liaise with single use and consumable suppliers in conjunction with other impacted functions such as supply chain, procurement, supplier management and quality assurance to ensure critical component supply is maintained to support production operations.
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Provide support to manufacturing areas as a point of contact for day to day technical and operational product and process issues.
- Troubleshoot and investigate product impacting problems within the manufacturing facility, including complaints, out of expectation or out of specification results and coordinating with appropriate cross-functional teams.
- Provide product quality impact assessments (PQIA) as required in support of deviations and lead all technical aspects of investigations to identify root cause and corrective actions.
- Lead after action review sessions and provide recommendations for improvement projects based on key performance indicators and observed trends. Recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of work
- Analyze and interpret production data to understand, troubleshoot and improve process capability.
- Work closely with other functions within the organisation such as R&D, production, Quality, engineering, supply chain or Operational Excellence on the execution of projects within assigned areas
- Facilitate process improvements/efficiency with a focus on enhanced GMP or financial savings
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to continually improve performance, quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent vocational or technical education
- Direct experience with regulated environments (i.e. cGMP, OSHA, EPA) required
- Experience in change management processes and competent in change control ownership systems.
- Knowledge of MS&T production operations
- Prior experience within a technical function desirable but not essential
