Job description:
The IT Infrastructure Lead will support the IT Manager to drive the overall Infrastructure agenda in company. Infrastructure is the key driver to a modern Refinery and the IT Infrastructure Lead will play a key role in this transformation. The scope of the role includes creating a reliable and secure environment for end users and all HW & SW components. This role will supervise all infrastructure related tasks, as well as IT Security and Network Operations. This person will be the link between other IT sub-departments, working on maintaining a secure environment and enhancing our architectural footprint. The successful candidate must seek to understand the Refinery business, its products & services, so to further design an environment capable to support our growth. Creativity and “go getter” attitude will be key in this role. This role will work on defining and implementing IT policies and procedures with regards to safe computing. He / She will also collaborate frequently with third party vendors and manage related IT contracts. The IT Infrastructure Lead will supervise routine system monitoring, application of system updates or patches, define storage capacity, back up policy, create a Disaster Recovery plan, and work with Application teams to maintain and host applications. The IT Infrastructure lead will also develop key performance indicators (KPIs), establish and supervise service level agreements, and communicate both planned and unplanned system outages.
Stakeholder Management
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts to business leads.
- Actively participates in business and IT team discussions, bringing in best practices to and from site.
- Leads a team of onsite and offsite resources.
Dimensions:
- Be a key member of the IT leadership team at site.
- Lead a small onsite team and a larger offsite team.
- Able to secure Infrastructure operations for the site: ~1200 users
Skills & Experience Required:
- Active Directory (‘AD’) Services - Extract company AD data (Export Users, Groups (with members), Computers and Storage accounts);
- Active Directory Services - Import users & groups (with members);
- Cloud Computing - Resource groups, virtual servers, storage, networks.
- Cloud Computing - Microsoft O365 (Email, Skype, OneDrive, SharePoint);
- Cloud Computing - Active Directory Integration Services (Federation services and Web Services Integrated Authentication);
- Cloud Computing - Active Directory Domain Controllers (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Polices);
- Cloud Computing - File Servers (limited support);
- Cloud Computing - Print Servers (Basic Windows print ques/physical server onsite only);
- Cloud Computing - Veritas Backup Exec Servers (limited backup support);
- Cloud Computing - Web Servers (IIS, SMTP);
- Cloud Computing - Application Servers.
- Cloud Computing - Database Servers (Microsoft SQL);
- Cloud Computing - Virtual desktops (Azure Virtual Desktop);
- Server Builds - Microsoft Hyper-V Technologies;
- Middleware & Automation - system scripting interfaces.
- Middleware & Automation - FTP & SFTP (General external party access only, includes scripting);
- Data Migration - Users and Shared Data Migration.
- Data Migration - Permissions Scripting and Migration.
- End User Computing - Migration Scripts Design and Develop.
- End User Computing Migration - Desktop & Laptops (Fault finding 2/3rd line support only);
- End User Computing Migration - iPad migrations (Intune support only on Azure (MDM)).
- Deep functional understanding of industry citizen development standards.
- Understanding of data platforms used in a Refinery or Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong communication skills, among IT, digital and business stakeholders
