The client, a global O&G company, is currently seeking a Supervisor, Outages & Project Support to come work out of Fort McMurray. This is a permanent position targeted to start sometime November/ early December.
The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Outages & Project Support, the preferred candidate will be based in Fort McMurray, AB and will work closely with the Maintenance, Reliability and Outages group.
The work schedule will be 8 days on, 6 days off, 10 hours/day.

The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Outages & Project Support, the preferred candidate will be based in Fort McMurray, AB and will work closely with the Maintenance, Reliability and Outages group.

You will also be responsible for:
- Assign responsibilities and manage performance of team members;
- Lead site projects throughout all phases;
- Support maintenance continuous improvement initiatives as a subject matter expert;
- Organize and lead stakeholder meetings as needed;
- Work with CNOOC stakeholders to develop and manage 12 year outage and turnaround plan;
- Accountable to assure outages and projects are executed safely, on time and on budget;
- Facilitates the PM Optimization process to implement strategies on existing equipment and new projects;
- Update and develop maintenance and project asset strategies for full lifecycle;
- Participates in project design and model reviews as a subject matter expert and pulls in the right SME’s when required;
- Accountable for reporting team KPIs;
- Oversight of master data program for existing equipment and new projects;
- Continuously analyzes performance and finds new ways to reduce costs, reduce duration, increase reliability and improve HSE performance for outages and projects.
We are interested in hearing from candidates with the following:
- 10+ years of field experience in operation, maintenance, construction or engineering;
- 5+ years of a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Science or Engineering, or red seal trades ticket. Mechanical background is preferred;
- Experience working in SAP or maintenance purpose CMMS;
- Experience in program / procedure / process development and fit for purpose optimization;
- Proven communication and teamwork skills ;
