Contract: Document Control Technician / Canada

The client is seeking a Document Control Technician for a yearlong contract in Fort McMurray, AB. The shifts are 5/2 Monday through Friday.

Document Control Technician contributes to the success of safe, efficient operating, and maintenance of facilities.   

Responsibilities:

• Implement Document Control procedures to support broad stakeholders including project team, third parties, operations and maintenance teams in execution of their scope.
• Train stakeholders on document control processes and tools
• Control information flow between all parties following formal transmittal procedures ensuring access, security, version control and traceability
• Provide document control support on review and approvals of important technical and non-technical documents.
• Manage Document Control functional inboxes and respond to Document Control requests.
• Quality check document deliverables in line with standards and specifications
• Support handover by managing document turnover, turnover packages, and red lines
• Prepare and issue Information Management reports
• Adhere to Corporate Records Retention schedule

Qualifications:

• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and dependable
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft software suite, advanced in MS Excel is an asset
• Proficient with Adobe Acrobat
• Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering, vendor, operations and maintenance documents
• Knowledge of Records Management principles and implementation methods.
