A vacancy exists within Woodside’s Process Control Team supporting a broad range of onshore and offshore operating assets, as well as projects and developments activities.
The role presents exciting opportunities for an individual who wants to continue building their career as a specialist Process Control Engineer.
Duties & Responsibilities: This includes but not limited to:
• Troubleshoot and fix ad-hoc Process Control issues from operating facilities
• Building and/or modifying regulatory control schemes to improve plant stability
• Building and/or modifying Advanced Process Control (APC) Applications to optimise production and energy efficiency
• Monitoring the performance of APCs, and recommending modifications or changes as required
• Reviewing and input into proposed Process Control changes from other Engineers
• Supporting our highly specialised engineering contractors in larger modification scopes
• Coordinating approvals for site activities including with planners, management of change (MOC) approvers and permit planners
• Provide Process Control input into brownfields and greenfields projects
• Working centrally to support deployed Engineers and Operators who are less technically skilled in the Process Control discipline
• Visiting onshore and/or offshore assets on an as needs basis

Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering (Chemical, Process, Controls, Instruments disciplines)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Process Control Engineering
- Experience in modifying/building regulatory, advanced regulatory and APC controls
- Preferable to have experience working with a Honeywell DCS system (Experion, TPS or TDC 3000)
- Knowledge and experience in LNG, gas processing or refining is preferable, but not essential.
- Behaves, leads and coaches others in a manner consistent with Woodside Compass values
- Must be able to show strong business focus, including optimisation and cost management
- Demonstrable core discipline technical competence, skills and experience in the following areas:
- Advanced regulatory controls
- APC
- DCS Graphics updates
- Alarm management
