Senior Marine Engineer - Singapore

The client is a reputable production, development and exploration company focused on high quality, low cost, long-life assets on the UK Continental Shelf. As part of ambitious expansion plans, the client is committed to developing deepwater assets in the West of Shetland area.

The development team is looking for an experienced Marine Engineer to join the project execution effort in Singapore.

Due to current travel restrictions, we are actively pursuing LOCAL SINGAPORE-BASED CANDIDATES for this assignment.

The desired candidate will have:

• extensive experience of marine systems and marine / mechanical package engineering ideally on FPSO conversion or new build project. Otherwise, extensive offshore platform projects.
• qualifications as Chief Marine Engineer, (steam and motor) certificate or equivalent Bachelor's Degree.
• Confident in ability to verify design compliance with Class/Flag for UKCS. Extensive on-the-job experience will be considered in the absence of tertiary qualifications.
• relevant experience in providing oversight and assurance to engineering contractor, ideally undertaken some consultancy / PMC type activities.
• Expert level marine systems knowledge with a demonstrable record of delivery on multiple projects.
• Ensure specifications, procedures and drawings are the latest issue and updated accordingly.
• Able to quickly guide, influence and when necessary direct the FPSO contractor across all aspects of marine engineering from system design, inherently safe design package and vendor evaluation.
• Delivery-focused enabler with a fit for operation mindset and progress monitoring.
• Working knowledge of harsh weather / cylindrical design FPSOs and associated marine systems.
• Current home base location in Singapore and be able to work in this territory independently as Singaporean national or Singapore Permanent Resident or another suitable right to work in Singapore.
