The client is seeking an experienced Payroll Lead/Manager for a 12 month PAYE Contract based in Aberdeen.
Candidates should have experience of overseeing a large payroll including UK and International and ideally be based in the Aberdeen/Shire area.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurate and timely completion of all on and off cycle payroll payments using Ceridian Dayforce for an employee workforce of ~600 employees in the UK, based offshore North Sea and on assignment internationally
As the payroll subject matter expert, you will enforce and maintain payroll process controls, and legislative requirements
Review payroll reports to ensure accuracy before finalising payments and providing approval to Ceridian to commit pay
Facilitate and resolve discrepancies
Review and perform audits of the payroll data entries in Dayforce
Actively manage the payroll Year End Process to ensure that P60s, P11Ds and PSAs are completed on time and in line with HMRC legislation
Understand the inter relationships between other third- party providers and payroll
To maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures
Support internal and external audits ensuring compliance requirements with regards to documentation, reporting and auditability
Work closely with the Compensation and Benefit Team and Mobility Team to ensure accurate and timely exchange of data for payroll, benefit and expatriate/assignee tax reporting purposes
Be the internal focal point to manage the process to ensure cost effective management of expatriate taxes for those seconded to the UK and from the UK. The incumbent will partner with our 3rd party tax advisors to ensure accurate expatriate taxes and modified payroll submission across international jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all compensation and tax requirements across multiple regions
Completion and validation of monthly modified payroll activities in partnership with tax advisors for expatriate to ensure accuracy of data and compliance
Work on a daily basis with the Outsourced provider, using excellent communication skills and patience
Seek and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and remove opportunities for rework and potential human error
Experience & Qualifications:
Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification (PCP) is essential with financial degree level education desired
Detailed knowledge of UK payroll related legislation
Previous experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a requirement
Previous experience with Workday is a requirement
Relevant experience in payroll
Experience of ex-patriate shadow payroll programs and tax treatments desirable
