Contract: Technician / Scotland

The client is currently recruiting for the position of Technician, based in Montrose.

Responsibilities:

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications

Assemble products in accordance with applicable drawings and any specific assembly procedures

Undertake hydro and gas pressure testing activities in accordance with industry and company guidelines

Ability to recognize, solve and implement required changes for assembly and testing related challenges

Proficient in the use of measurement/gauging equipment and processes

Calibrate and work with instrumentation equipment such as pressure transducers, leak detection manometers and thermocouples during the testing process

Ensure work area is maintained in a safe and proper condition through correct handling and storage of equipment and tools

To work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner giving due care and diligence to his/her colleagues and work place

Provide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence

Ability to present test data and findings to company engineering teams via written and oral reports

Experience & Qualifications:

Experience in hydro, gas and hydraulic pressure testing

Experience in mechanical inspection, measurement and assembly

Familiarity with the use of instrumentation and data acquisition systems

Strong computer skills and the ability to present data and test findings via MS Excel and Powerpoint
