Contract: Marine Advisor - Project Phase / British Columbia

You will use your expertise to:
*Act as Marine / Shore Traffic Coordinator for the Private Port of Kitimat supporting construction and logistic teams and ensuring AIS monitoring of all project vessels during construction phase.
*Provide advice for shipping activities during construction pase (geotech, dredging, material transport, module logistics).
*Support to logistics (Supply Chain Team) for importing of modules via either heavy lift vessel or heavy transport vessels at the Materials Offloading Facility, through to laydown and hand over to the construction Team.
*Activities to support the Supply Chain Team will be assigned as appropriate.
*Assist in Audits of Marine operations risk management during construction phase and continuously demonstrate safety leadership on the ground.
*Ensure EPC contractor and subcontractors comply with Canadian Maritime requirements during construction phase, issuing Navigational Warnings where required.

To be successful, you will have:
*Demonstrated experience and knowledge of heavy lift operations of heavy transport vessels.
*Strong Marine Traffic Coordination,project management skills, ability to prioritize and manage many activities at the same time.
*Knowledge and experience of marine activities, including port and Marine terminal operations.
*Excellent inter-personal skills to network effectively across internal and external business interfaces and with staff of different disciplines and seniority levels.
*Team player with the necessary communication (oral and written) skills to interface with other disciplines and external parties in a remote team.
*Ability to resolve and provide clear, fit for purpose solutions in line with Group and Industry guidelines and practices.
*Experience understanding contractual agreements with 3rd parties
