Software Solution Architect / Singapore

About the Role

The client is looking to hire an experienced Software Solution Architect to work hand in hand with the founders of the business, this person will be responsible for bringing technical expertise of the client's platform to clients across the areas of solution design, client integrations and overall implementation whilst adherence to the core product architecture.

As the first person on the ground, you will be essential for the growth of business with a long-term view for this person to grow out a team within APAC.

Role Description

The Solution Architect plays an authoritative role within the Software Development Lifecycle from design to delivery. This includes guiding in accordance with the best practices defined within the organization. It is a must to have a keen eye for detail, allowing them to steward a technical project along a successful path to delivery.

The Solution Architect needs to demonstrate an effective communication technique and must be as comfortable working in a support capacity at a code creation level with developers as they are explaining complex implementations to senior non- technical project stakeholders.

This is a front-line role which requires the Solution Architect to draw upon direct experiences gained working within various functions across the Software Industry, ideally with a strong software development background and supported by a robust technical understanding of complex IT Infrastructure Landscapes such as those typically encountered within large scale commercial organisations.

Requirements

• Act as the companies Babel Fish, you will be required to have the ability to translate and process Non- Technical information to Technical and vice versa.
• Experience in dealing with and managing outsourced providers, particularly across cultures and time-zones.
• Familiar and comfortable with Agile.
• Track- record of building relationships with partners, suppliers, customers, and prospects.
• Demonstrable ability to balance short-term, pragmatic needs with the longer-term, strategic "big picture" of how technology choices can be best used to deliver the business goals.
• Confident presenter, with excellent spoken and written English skills (additional languages highly desirable).
• Create documentation to ensure that the technical aspects of the platform are accurate, along with records (e.g.: options appraisal) of key decisions, and keep a forward-facing strategic technology roadmap current (influenced by knowledge of industry trends, new technology services announced by vendors, competitor analysis etc.)
• Having an understanding around Logistical software is not essential but an advantage
• Strong understanding within Solution software designing
• Hyperledger Fabric experience not essential but a strong advantage.
• Background within AWS architecture is a strong advantage
• Be the bridge and take ownership of the gap between business problems and technology solutions
• Strong understanding of how to use the best technical solution to solve existing and new business problems
• Ability to describe the structure, characteristics, behaviour, and other aspects of software to project stakeholder.
• Define features, phases, and solution requirements
• Strong personality, my client is not looking for a YES person, the ability to stand your ground and get stakeholders to understand your reasoning
• Happy to Travel once the borders are open.
• You must be very customer eccentric, so people skills are a very big essential for this role.
• Understanding and ability to work within a Start-Up environment, very little management needed
