Location - Livingston

The client, a successful Tooling Machine and Forged Products Business is seeking to source a qualified Electrical Fitter who will support the Maintenance team in achieving business objectives.

The successful candidate must be time-served in an Electrical Engineering discipline. It would be desirable for the successful candidate to also have an HNC in an Engineering related subject.

As part of a skilled team, this role involves working to both planned and reactive maintenance schedules within the plant, repairing and maintaining forging presses, furnaces, machine tools, plus electrical installations and PAT testing. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for all elements of electrical plant maintenance.

Applicants must be self-motivated and have the ability to manage a varied and demanding work load. You must have a proven track record of fault finding with the ability to read technical drawings. You must also be able to work at heights and in enclosed spaces, as well as having basic IT skills together with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior industry experience in electrical maintenance covering medium voltage distribution systems, equipment breakdowns, trouble shooting, and working with inspection and maintenance programmes to meet statutory requirements is essential.

Starting salary of £25,756.21 + shift allowance

Progression within the role to £26,288.20 + shift allowance and once through probationary and fully trained the salary will be £32,860.25

This role is a three shift but during training may only be a one shift, shift allowance will apply on how may shifts you are working :

1 shift 8.5%

2 shifts 17%

3 shifts 25%

Dayshift hours

Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm (20 Min meal break)

Friday 6am to 12.20pm no meal break

Nightshift hours

Monday to Thursday 10pm to 6am (20 Min meal break)

Friday 6.40pm to 1am no meal break

Backshift hours

Monday to Thursday 2pm to 10pm (20 Min meal break)

Friday 12.20pm to 6.40pm no meal break
