Rail/ Metro Systems Project Director - India

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist are working with a major international Consultancy firm who are requiring a Project Director for the Systems element of a major metro project in India.

Opportunity & Responsibilities:

You shall be working as part of an international team of experts who are based both in country and around the world to ensure the successful delivery of this high-profile scheme.

Responsibilities:

Project Director will be responsible for overall co-ordination with Detail Design

Consultant, Construction Contractors, D&B Contractors as also the

four consortium members.

• He/ she will take decisions and give directions to facilitate completion of project without time and cost over runs without sacrificing quality and safety.
• He/ she will be responsible for administrative as well as technical control of GEC team and its performance.
• He/ she will be responsible for proper implementation of provisions in the Terms of Reference and relevant manuals, rules and regulations as per contract and execution of work by contractor in accordance with specifications and timelines laid down in the contracts.
• He/ she will set up reporting system from Contractors and Senior GEC Experts to his office and further to the end client.
• Submit weekly/ monthly progress reports to the client.
• He/ she will be responsible for implementation of Project Management Plan, develop project management procedures, planning required and project controls and will have overall control for testing and commissioning of different elements of the project.

Typical requirements for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical /Electronics/Mechanical
• Master's degree in relevant field
• 25 years post bachelor's degree qualification experience
• 7 years working experience as PD/ Team leader

Salary Package:

The salary on offer for this position is around $15-17,000 'Tax free' per month with a full package including Flights, transport, insurance, per diem.
