Project Engineer / USA

The client are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer in Florida who has experience working with heavy civil projects ideally with earthwork, excavation, water or hydro.

The candidate will be responsible for all routine on-site project administration, scheduling and engineering. You will plan, coordinate, and manage on-site construction engineering activities and schedules , holding communication with subcontractors. Will prepare monthly pay estimates and updates the Project CPM schedule. Also prepare, coordinates and updates job budgets, change orders and cost reports for management review and approval.

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

• Prepare and/or control drawings, plans, quantity report;
• Review pay subcontractor pay estimates prior to management's approval.
• Review the owner's pay estimate prior to management's approval.
• Supervise cost report management and lead regular review meetings.
• Supervise project CPM management and lead regular review meetings.
• Manage project document control system.
• Identify issues early and work to develop solutions.
• Prepare all required information for presentation at project reviews.

Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Must have prior experience in construction of Large infrastructure, hydropower & dam projects.
• Minimum 2 years (for an intermediate experience) or 5 years (for a highly experienced) of similar construction projects
• Familiar with grading, drainage, earthmoving, concrete, excavation, mechanical, tunnel and water reservoir.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD is required.
• Civil 3D knowledge is useful.

The candidate will begin working immediately and be based in a large city 20 minutes from the project site. Strong overall packages including accommodation will be offered worthy of proven engineers.
