Senior Tunnel Engineer / Asia Pacific

One of the worlds largest Civil Construction businesses are working with to identify an experienced Tunnel Design Engineer to be based in their Hong Kong office for a 1.5 - 2.5 year Project.

If you are a specialist Tunnelling Design Engineer looking to develop a career with a market leader and work with one of the worlds largest, most complex projects, then this is certainly for you. It provides the opportunity to relocate to one of the most desirable cities for ex-pats within engineering and to work long term with a major regional Tunnelling/Rail focussed project.

This individual will be working as a leader within a team of specialist tunnelling, structural and geotechnical engineers to deliver design and project management to a new infrastructure project in concept, design and planning stage.

This role will be focused on the management of the design consultant from their project team and will include a variety of tunnelling methods including TBM, SCL and Excavation design. It will likely cover differing rock and soft ground conditions so someone with a well rounded design background should be required.

The business posses a track record on the worlds largest and highest value projects including Rail, Highway and Civil with a global footprint including Asia, Middle East, Australia, Europe and Americas.Following this contract, relocation to any of these regions will likely be possible.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role working as a Senior or part of a team whilst ideally managing the Design Consultant in developing design packages. They will have contributed significantly to multiple projects and have a proven track record in the successful delivery of works on a consistent basis.
They should be from a technical design background and have worked in roles similar to;
-Tunnel engineer
-Design engineer
-Senior engineer
- Principle Engineer
-Design manager.

Candidates will have a tunnelling, civil or geotechnical degree qualification and be considered a specialist in the field of tunnelling. They will be able to demonstrate an ability to consult on projects at critical stages and to deliver designs on time and to specification.
