Freelance/Contract: Site Quality Manager - Power Plant / Germany

The client is currently looking for an experienced Site Quality Manager to join a new Power Plant construction site in Germany. The project is the rebuild of a Gas fired Power Plant, including a steam cycle.

The assignment planned start date is March 2021 for a duration of 18 months.

To be considered you will need the below competences:

• Proven Quality experience on site or in an industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of Technical Regulations and Standards as well as German special requirements
• Basic IT knowledge (MS Standard Tools and Standard Data Bases)
• Quality Auditor training
• Welding Knowledge
• Willing to work full time on site
• Able to negotiate with client and authorities
• Able to read and understand documents written in English
• Negotiation skills in English or German

• Quality Auditor Qualification and proven experience
• German skills written and spoken
• Engineering skills
• Project Management Skills
• Welding Certificate / Welding Engineering Degree

On site the following main tasks are in the responsibility of the Site Quality Manager:

• Assure the implementation of the Site Quality Plan and Strategy
• Review Subcontractors / Partner quality plans to ensure alignment with the client's Site Quality Plan
• Provide quality assurance induction training to the site personnel
• Ensure client's site processes are implemented
• Perform site- sub contractor- and supplier audits
• Coordinate and manage Site Inspections including Customer Inspections
• Manage the Site Q Documentation and related approvals
• Guide the close out of open actions ("Site Punch Items")
