Contract: Quality Engineer / India

Position: Quality Engineer
Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Experience : 3+ years
Employment Type: Contract 6 months extendable




Job Summary :
Primarily responsible for reviewing and approving vendor documents, which include Material Test Reports (MTRs) and Manufacturing Record Books (MRB). Also, responsible to carry out other quality assurance related tasks assigned by the team lead time to time.




Roles and Responsibilities

• Review of manufacturing records and various vendor documents, which include, Dimensional reports, welding, PWHT, NDE, coating, Pressure test and hardness test reports 
• Review and approval of Material Test Reports of various raw materials / product forms, i.e. forgings, castings, tubulars, plates and structural materials.
• Verify documents / records for Compliance to Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements, Material Specification, Weld Specification and product specifications including applicable industrial standards
• Validate and upload the documents into CCM Workspace / share drive
• Prepare and approve documentation release note (DRN)
• Coordinate with work assigner to complete the task efficiently

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Metallurgy production or equivalent

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in quality Control & Quality Assurance, especially in handling manufacturing records, vendor documents, data packages, etc.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- ability to use computer system and associated software
