Are you are looking for a new permanent opportunity as a contract manager in the renewable field?

The client is currently looking to recruit for a Contracts manger for a world leading client in the highly specialised fields of renewables (in particular wind) dredging, marine engineering and environmental remediation. While the company's roots are in central Europe the client has built a strong presence in all of the world's seas and continents, operating in more than 90 countries worldwide

As a Contract Manager, you will provide support ,on a project-related basis and from a contractual-technical perspective, in executing the (construction) contracts that has been entered into with clients or main contractors and the subcontracts and supply agreements thereunder. You will be the go-to person for all contractual matters during the life of the project:

Your primary objectives are:

• to proactively monitor contractual rights and obligations under the contract and/or subcontract(s);
• to ensure that any contractual entitlements are timely and duly notified to the proper party in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and/or subcontract(s);
• to establish clear and direct communication lines with all internal and external stakeholders.

More specifically, you will provide support to the Project, to and under the direction of the Project Manager, which includes the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Developing, drafting and implementing a contract management plan;
• Contract compliance;
• Subcontractor management;
• Site-related communication;
• Assistance to invoicing process;
• Variation initiation and management;
• Claims management;
• Stakeholder management;
• Document management.

Your profile

• You have obtained a Master in Laws, Economics or Engineering.
• You have 5 yearsexperience in the field of contract management. Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, BIMCO and LOGIC model contracts is considered essential.
• You are fluent in English. All other languages (such as Dutch and French) are considered an asset.
• You have excellent analytical skills and written communication is one of your strong points.
• You have a hands-on mentality and are very business minded.
• You are a team player, yet you are able to work independently and duly manage your workload and priorities.
• You have strong communication and relational skills.
• You are open-minded, flexible and stress resistant.
• You are willing to work at our head office in Belgium and/or on international assignments.
