Contract: Senior Contracts Engineer / France

An oil and gas major are looking for a Senior Contracts Engineer to join their team for 18 months initially in Paris and then on the contractor premises (not yet selected).

Role:
Reporting to the Contracts Manager assisting him, as required, in communication with Project Management, and highlighting progress and encountered areas of concern. To ensure confidentiality of all the contractual and commercial documentation produced (whatever its support). Participate in the establishment of Contract & Procurement Upstream Project internal procedures.  To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard H3SE and H3SE rules implementation To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard to Ethics and project policy, to participate to meetings with partners, authorities and other stakeholders as required, to carry out any other duties or tasks that may be required by the position, the Job Holder is responsible for: the coordination, preparation and administration of contracting process (call for tenders, clarification phase, evaluation and negotiation phase and recommendation) for two to three main contracts on the dedicated platform (ARIBA), coordinate efficiently, in duet, with the Packages Managers, also liaising with Project Control Team (mainly Schedule Engineer and Cost Control Engineer) for the development of contractual and commercial aspects of the assigned contracts. application of Contract and Procurement procedures for tendering process and contract administration.

Experience Required:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Law, Commercial or Engineering, ideally with a post- graduate qualification in a complementary discipline.

Technical Competencies:
Qualified Project Contracts engineer with proven experience in Contracting processes and project services (both commercial and contractual).
Comprehensive knowledge of the C&P process
Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil &Gas Industry with similar large- scale projects & environment.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
English as mother tongue or Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
