Highways Senior Material/Quality Assurance Engineer - Georgia

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced Highways Senior Material/Quality Assurance Engineer for an ongoing project in Georgia.

Opportunity:

The client is an International consultancy who are 2 years into a 3 year project improving 50km of Secondary Roads in central Georgia. The proposed project will rehabilitate and upgrade the existing road to two-lane all-weather standard to the extent possible within the existing road formation.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Material/Quality Assurance Engineer shall be responsible for supervising the contractor and ensuring that Materials being used meet the specifications. Other duties shall include:

• Supervising the contractors work including Laboratory tests and mixture calculations.
• Carry out audits and approve project progress.
• Liaise with stakeholders
• Support the Team Leader

Key requirements for the role:

• Civil engineering degree, preferably with post graduate qualifications
• 15+ years of relevant experience in road and bridge construction
• 8 years in quality assurance.
• Member of ADB Eligible country.

Language:

Fluency in English writing and communication

Salary Package:

The salary package on offer is around $6000 USD tax free as well as a full expatriate package including Flights, accommodation etc.
