1. Act as a technical expert for Structural design issues, and perform structural design calculations as necessary
2. Ensure compliance of Schlumberger structural design with applicable industry codes, standards and regulations, client specifications
3. Should be on good on application of Structural engineering software’s viz. STAAD PRO, SACS and MS Office for manual calculations to produce high quality engineering as per Industry and Safety standard with minimum guidance.
4. Knowledge and exposure of Offshore and Onshore Industry Engineering standards  & Codes  - API, AISC, ASCE, BS, EURO, OSHA, ACI, AWS etc.,
Meet or exceed customer expectations in a timely manner within the budget limits



1. Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in all pertinent aspects of the discipline including design, analysis techniques, products, applicable codes and construction practices related to assigned projects.
2. Create or check the “Design Basis” documents specific to the particular project.  The document is based on the applicable Codes, client specifications, company scope of supply, and approved exception list.
3. Perform or check Structural calculations with all applicable design loads and design combinations in accordance with the “Design Basis”.
4. Interact with company Regional offices and assist with structural engineering design, as required.
5. Work independently with minimal supervision. Check the work by others as required.
6. Involve in preparing manhour estimation and steel weight estimation. Also actively takepart in preparing the schedule for various activities in structural engineering
7. Review of structural calculations performed by junior structural engineers. Represent structural discipline in interdisciplinary reviews
8. Advise and assist project and discipline engineers with the interpretation and clarification of applicable industry Codes and Client Specification requirements.
9. Advise and assist Construction Managers, QA/QC, and Subcontractors with the interpretation and clarification of construction documents.
10. Participate in continuing education to maintain professional status as required by licensing authorities and to enhance professional skills.
