Contract: HSE Officer / Saudi Arabia

Principal Accountabilities

• Maintain the SSOW standards on the locations
• Prepare HSE reports for the required supervisors
• Support the daily management of the HSE Critical Equipment
• Provide HSE support to specific activities where required
• Manage the Safety Observation Program


Specific Functions

• Control and monitor the safety of work activities in accordance with the required SSOW requirements with the aim of preventing accidents
• Provide instruction to the general workforce on the client's safe practices and safe operating procedures and systems
• To provide on-site HSE supervision of work activities
• Prepare daily HSE reports
• Support the use of the Safety Observation Program
• Conduct on-site HSE inductions, weekly HSE training,
• Conduct investigations where required
• Maintain on-site HSE messages, e.g. message boards, posters, bulletins, etc.
• Assist the Operators and HLO/Medics in conducting their on-site HSE-related inspections/audits, e.g. Housekeeping audits
• Update the HSE Database
• Conduct on-site safety life saving equipment and housekeeping audits and inspections
• Participate in the closure of corrective actions from internal and external audits/inspections and upload the progress reports in GAMA
• Follow-up on corrective actions from incidents and investigations
• Prepare and disseminate progress reports on the closure of all corrective actions
• Assist the on-board Medic with the inspection of food boxes upon arrival to the offshore locations
• Facilitation of risk assessments and TBRAs where required
• Participate in emergency drills as required
