Contract: Project Engineer - Oil & Gas / Poland

The leader in recruitment and  contracting services for key infrastructural EPC project in oil & gas industry is currently looking for Project Engineer  (Warsaw based ) to supervise on behalf of the client subcontractor (design office )
 
Purpose of the position and short description:
To be responsible for the engineering done by a subcontractor during project execution.
To organize and manage engineering interfaces between engineering subcontractor and Employer engineering.
To supervise the engineering subcontractor  to ensure project completion in time and budget.
To provide guidance to engineering subcontractor related to quality and administrative requirements.
To ensure technical quality of the engineering subcontractor and implement correction measures if required.
 
 Description of main activities:
  
To achieve the targets the Project Engineer will be responsible to undertake, but not limited to, these main activities

• Interface management between engineering subcontractor and Employer main office
• Ensure compliance with the contract and the basis of design
• Apply technical judgment for the design to ensure consistency between the different disciplines
• Review of PIDs, technical specifications and engineering documents
• Support the selection of technical solutions
• Support commissioning activities
• Project reporting for assigned task
• Ensuring that working procedures and applicable codes and standards are respected and enforced

 
Required educational background / skills and knowledge:

• Professional Engineer with Master/Diploma degree in one major project related engineering discipline (i.e. process, mechanical, civil)
• Several years of professional experience in design of chemical / petrochemical / LNG plants preferably in the gas industry
• Knowledge of applicable Polish and international codes and standards
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Polish
• Excellent managerial, leadership and people management skills
• Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills
• Well- structured engineering/science related mindset and thinking
• Highly open minded, experienced in working in international teams
• High self- motivation, team spirit and assertiveness
• Absolute readiness for worldwide business trips
