Description
As the Calgary Office Director, you will lead and develop an engaged team of strong professionals who deliver high- value technical services to the market. You will head and develop operational activities and manage the office’s human, financial and material resources to grow local activities and effectively contribute to achieving strategic objectives.
More specifically, the Office Director will:
• Provide leadership, direction and management of multidisciplinary engineering team under the firm’s values and culture.
• Collaborate with stakeholders of the firm to ensure the organization is being managed responsibly at every local to national management level, but with only one global bottom line.
• Develop, communicate and execute sales and operational plans in line with the office strategy and objectives.
• Achieve long-term growth by defining and delivering strategies, managing relationships and the opportunity pipeline, assembling and managing a team of experts, sponsoring project delivery and nurturing clientele.
• Attract and develop the best talent, mentor and manage teams of professionals toward common goals.
• Maintain performance measured by KPIs, such as utilization and mark-up, aligned with the firm’s strategic plan.
• Optimize team operational efficiency.
• Maintain the firm’s highest occupational health and safety standards.
• Develop the technical knowledge and high-end skills of a group of professionals.
• In coordination with Executive Directors and Department Managers, provide guidance for service quality as well as adherence to the highest health and safety standards, striving for the best results.
• Be an ambassador of the firm’s values, promote them and lead by example in regard to adhering to these principles. Your team will adhere to corporate policies, business processes and engineering practices to deliver the highest standards of quality.

Requirements
• University degree in Engineering or college diploma in Engineering Technology or any
other relevant study program.
• Fifteen years of relevant experience, particularly in technical consultation.
• Experience in team engagement and management.
• Relevant business development and management experience with client relationships.
• Strong ability to effectively converse with all levels within a business from entry level to C-level executives.
• Experience in organizational development and managing multidisciplinary work teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
